From the Russ Family - "As a bit of background, we have 1200 acres of land that was offered to us to use for ministry purposes by the local chief. We have been there now since the end of 2018 and are in desperate need for a tractor to make proper use of the land. We are planning on doing some cattle and laying chicken farming as a way to produce profit for our local leaders that we are training. As well as some field crops and feed production for the animals. On top of this we are needing the tractor to help us with land preparation and material hauling for all of our construction projects happening all over the base. This tractor will get PLENTY of use.
With that, we are looking for a tractor between 40-80hp, ideally between 55-70hp with a front end loader and a bucket. 4x4 or MFWD. Name brands like John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Kubota are best options for sourcing parts in Africa. Obviously newer and lower hours the better, however we will take what we can manage. Right now we have about $15,000 raised towards the tractor. If you know anyone that would like to contribute towards a tractor or maybe someone that would be willing to donate or offer us one at a serious discount, that would be super helpful!!"
